IRS Rewards Illegal Behavior (Unless You're a US Citizen)

IRS Caters To Illegal Immigrants

Wondering whether the government is serious about cracking down on Illegal Immigration? Well, you needn't wonder any longer. The IRS, the government's official revenue collection agency, fully recognizes tax returns filed by illegal immigrants, granting them tax benefits, returns, refunds and more.

"This year tax preparers in several Border States are reporting a huge surge in the number of illegal aliens requiring tax filing services. One Phoenix Arizona company that caters to Hispanics is making a killing. The owner says that the majority of his 10,000 customers filing taxes are illegal immigrants without Social Security numbers . . . Illegal aliens across the country are openly speaking to the media about their newfound tax filings. Diggers Realm writes that illegal immigrants have learned that, since the IRS doesn’t cooperate with law enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security, they have little to fear."

Illegal Immigration reform is a hot-button political topic, but our representatives have no intention of actually implementing the policies they might espouse on the campaign trail.

The money is too big, the loss of potential votes too great.

Disclosure: I learned about this issue because the BF noticed this morning that the check he sent to the IRS weeks ago was still uncashed, which is unusual, since the IRS has always cashed checks the very next day after receiving them.

When he called the IRS to ask about whether they received his check, the woman on the other end of the telephone line admitted that they were swamped this year with millions of tax filings from illegal immigrants, which was slowing down the entire tax evaluation process. She said that checks from actual US citizens were still sitting in lockboxes, and that it will be several weeks before the IRS can even get to them.

Bastard

While there's been a mind-numbing outpouring of media and Internet commentary regarding Cho Seung-Hui and the Virginia Tech shootings, I think Jim Treacher sums it up best with just one simple word:

UPDATE:
I originally attributed the genius behind the featured article's headline to Greg Gutfeld rather than Jim Treacher. That mistake has been addressed, and fixed. Sorry, Jim.
