Mel Gibson's Brilliant Policy Analysis
Gibson connects dots of Mayans and Americans
Mel Gibson criticized the war in Iraq while promoting his new film Apocalypto at a Texas film festival.
Gibson, 50, drew parallels between the collapsing Mayan civilization depicted in the movie and the United States at a screening Friday at the Fantastic Fest in Austin, the Hollywood Reporter said yesterday.
"What's human sacrifice if not sending guys off to Iraq for no reason?" he said at the festival devoted to new science fiction, horror and fantasy films.
I swear, every time this man opens his mouth, he creates a vacuum in which reason and logic cease to exist. From excusing his virulently Jew-hating and offensively sexist rantings as just an alcoholic relapse ("I'm not queer, it was the beer!"), to claiming that U.S. foreign policy is based on whimsy rather than decades of intelligence gathering and a comprehensive roundup of economic ramifications plus threat analysis, it's a wonder there's enough grey matter rattling around in his skull to keep him standing upright . . . when he's not falling-down drunk, publicly urinating, groping for some sugar tits and blaming the Jews for it all, that is.
I imagine Gibson's poor brain must make regular 911 calls, tearfully begging to be rescued from the cramped, dark car-trunk of his skull.
